Mission and Vision

Mission 

The mission of the counseling department is to provide a developmentally appropriate, preventative comprehensive school counseling program that offers equitable access to the highest level of achievement for all students. We aim to provide consistent direct student services through individual and small group counseling and advisement, along with classroom lessons aimed at supporting social, emotional, academic, and career development. We support students indirectly through teacher, parent, and administrator consultation and aim to consistently rely on evidence-based practices. Our work is guided by the American School Counseling Association’s Ethical Standards for School Counselors.  

Vision 

The vision of the school counseling department at Sandy Springs Charter Middle School is that all students will have the academic, college and career, and social/emotional support they need to develop into responsible, successful global citizens.
