ESOL
What is the ESOL Program?
The English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program is offered to all English learners in Fulton schools who meet the eligibility criteria set by the Georgia DOE. Our goal is for students to be proficient in all five language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing and comprehension) and to be successful both socially and academically. The ESOL program aids English learners’ success in an English-speaking classroom by addressing all five language skills and building their understanding of our American culture so they can function successfully (FCS ESOL Manual, 2019).
